How thin are Genus ALD films?
To conceive of 100 angstroms, consider the following:
A human hair is approximately 100 microns thick.
100 microns = 1,000,000 angstroms
1 human hair = 1,000,000 angstroms
1/10,000 of a human hair = 100 angstroms
A typical distance between atoms is approximately 3 angstroms.
So, a deposited film that is 100 angstroms is approximately 33 atoms thick.
Genus is capable of depositing continuous films that are only 10 angstroms thick!
